Born in Brazil and raised in Uruguay, Odete discovered her passion for hair as a young child. Although Odete discovered her calling at a young age, her family discouraged her from pursuing hair styling as it was not a “real career”. She continued to grow her passion for hair while knowing in the back of her mind she would one day pursue her dream as a hair stylist.

At age 16 Odete decided to start styling hair, but her journey was quickly derailed by a family who wanted her to pursue more traditional work. It was then she decided to study interior design to fulfill her creative nature while satisfying her family.

At age 26 Odete decided it was time to move to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of styling hair. Her idea was to come to Los Angeles to showcase her creative hair styles while infusing the flavor of her native Brazil. Odete’s unique hair styles quickly garnered world wide acclaim, earning her the reputation as the go-to stylist for a number of high profile entertainers. After working for many years at a prestigious hair salon in Beverly Hills she decided to branch off and start her own salon in West Hollywood, The Brasilian Blow Dry Hair Salon.

Through The Brasilian Blow Dry Hair Salon she hand picks only the best stylists to work with her. Her vision is to give her clients the best hair styles with an authentic Brazilian touch.
